A Passage to India

Began my day with a nice chat with Meron, who entertained me with such nuggets as "The biggest cockroaches I ever saw were in India." Spent the rest of the day procrastinating, then took a nap, then accidentally set Mr Shane loose in my apartment, then sort of started packing a bit, then procrastinated some more. Have finally given up and will pack tomorrow morning instead.

If I can, I will update from India. If not.... see you in a month!!!!!

  • Hi Its MOM Don't forget to check inside your shoes when you put them on in the morning, cockroaches love to hide in there, so do scorpions. Don't leave opened suitcases on the floor either. Why did I wait till the last minute to tell you these gems? Love MOM

  • Unless you can put them on a leash and take them for walks, I'm going to bet the roaches in New Orleans are bigger. I'm a big whiny baby when it comes to stuff like that, so if I can take it, you'll be fine.

    Have a wonderful trip!!

    XOXO

  • i hear the really big cockroaches don't really taste any different, so size isn't a factor

please keep blogging while travelling so we can keep entertained

and send us a postcard, too!

    thanks

  • Was in an old fort last night in a small village in the middle of nowhere. Today in Jaipur. Should get some shopping done here - have bought bangles, a salwar kameez, necklace and several other bits along the way.

Tour is very well organized and every day brings new surprises. It's impossible to put everything into words. I am so happy to be here.

No cockroach sightings as of today.

Will probably head to Udaipur, Jodhpur and Gujarat after tour is finished (on the 28th). Then fly from Mumbai to Delhi and back to Japan and Korea.

    It's amazing. Truly incredible.

    xoxo
