Jakob Oscar Parker-Kingston

So, it seems odd to me that a post about my hair gets more reaction (and comments) than posts about North Korean missiles, cultural differences and my upcoming trip to China. Hellooo??? China! Like, wow!

Just to let you know, it wasn't even a good hair day but a good hair hour, making me doubly happy that I actually caught it on camera.

So, you know how I can't live without a cat? Well... One of Jen's students found a kitten and brought it to her... which was the right thing to do. But, Jen is leaving soon to move back to Canada. After thinking about it for about 4.3 seconds, I decided that I truly need a little orange tabby kittenhead to make my life complete. The problem was just that I won't be around until the end of August. Enter Kristi, who is also a cat person, works at a hogwan and thus will be around during the month of August.

Kristi and I have come to an agreement to share the little guy. I'm naming him Jakob, she likes Oscar, and to conclude we added both our last names.

Everyone say hello, bonjour, hola, annyeong haseyo, ni how ma and marhaba to:

Jakob Oscar Parker-Kingston!

  • My god... the cat will have an identity crisis!!!

Haven't you seen "Conspiracy Theory"? Any more than 2 names and you have an assasin on your hands!

  • As long as Jakob Oscar Parker-Kingston doesn't assassinate Mr. Shane, we will be alright!

  • Aww... I can't wait to see him... Orange Tabby...so cute... Yeah make sure he doesn't hang out too closely with Mr. Shane... My cat ate one of my birds once when she was left alone too long... broke into the cage and hmmm... Where did the bird go?

Oh yeah and have fun in China girl... I'll see ya when you get back and give tons of my crap to make your place look more homey :)

  • Some history for you people:

Deng-ee (as my student called him, but I like Jakob Oscar better) was found yesterday by one of my grade 5 girls, behind the Hyundai apartment buildings in Yongdang-dong. She wasn't able to keep him so she did the very right thing and brought him straight to me (maybe she knows foreigners are likely to love animals... actually it's more likely she knows I adopted my little dog from the street).

Anyway another of the kids said that she saw him there 2 DAYS EARLIER and didn't do a damn thing about it. So he was pretty hungry when I found him. I fed him some milk and took him to the vet, and then Kristi managed to pick him up early this morning. Damn cute pic, by the way!

  • OMG! He is the cutest! Wow.. I thinks it's about time they renamed Shidae the 'Animal Rescue Centre'. I see a trend.
Congrats on your new bundle of joy!

  • You have to submit this to: www.ratemykitten.com and www.cuteoverload.com. Simply have to. He'll be like one of those baby beauty competition kids, all famous for being too cute. Just don't do the whole makeup/Barbie dress thing, that'd be a bit too scary.
