Right... got an e-mail from my mom saying "What is that thing you are swimming with in murky water?", so thought I should at least identify my photos...
1)Under the arches at a Shinto shrine in Kyoto, Japan- remember that scene in Memoirs of a Geisha where she's running up to the temple to make a wish? Yeah, like that. 2)In a window in St. Paul's Church in Melaka, Malaysia - first burial place of St Francis Xavier and my favourite place in Malaysia. 3)Me walking on the beach on Pulau Kapas, Malaysia. Sorry, THIS is my favourite place in Malaysia. 4)Holding a snake outside of Dutch Square, Melaka, Malaysia. 5)Swimming with a pink dolphin on Sentosa Island, Singapore. Top is grey, underbelly and chin are pink.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.
It is better to let it last for many years;
and to anchor at the island when you are old,
rich with all you have gained on the way,
(Constantine Cavafy, 1863-1933)
