I know! Brent and I have been (gasp!!) sleeping with the window's open AND no a/c. We've got something planned for you and your mom when you visit. A climb up Mokpo's Mount Yudal at night. Brent and I gave it a test run last night and it's beautiful!
Hi Its MOM Thanks for the planned night time hike - like do I need hiking boots or what. How long is it? How high up? I'd better get in shape. Really looking forward to it all. Love MOM (aka Virginia Sr.)
No worries Mom.... if you can't make it, Brent will carry you.
Yes, bring comfy walking shoes. Don't you remember how I ran you from one end of Quebec City to the other? Just remember that Korea is bigger than Quebec.
Yudal is awesome at night and takes about 45 minutes to climb. Nothing more than good running shoes/hikers are required! Lots of stairs, but there are tons of look outs all the way up.
They even had a saxaphone player at the base playing for a crowd that you could hear the whole way up.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.
It is better to let it last for many years;
and to anchor at the island when you are old,
rich with all you have gained on the way,
(Constantine Cavafy, 1863-1933)

Some of my students are wearing their long-sleeved "winter" uniform shirts and wrapping themselves in blankets.... and it's still 25 degrees out!
Wait until they see me in a t-shirt at -10!
